Lac du Verney
Lakes & swimming
A quarter of an hour from Le Cosy Lodge, Lac du Verney is a large turquoise lake framed by the Belledonne and Grandes Rousses massifs. All summer long, Allemond's municipal water sports centre rents out pedalos, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, Optimist dinghies, windsurf boards and wingfoils, with landscaped beaches, a playground and lawns for picnics. Swimming is not allowed, but it's easy to spend the whole day here, between time on the water and a walk around the lake to the Himalayan footbridge.
