Ski & resorts
Half an hour from Le Cosy Lodge, Les 2 Alpes is the big neighbouring resort: a ski area rising from 1,300 to over 3,500 m, with the Mont-de-Lans glacier reached in about twenty minutes from the village on the Jandri 3S cable car. In winter you can ski from late November to early May, and the high-altitude snow then holds until the end of May. Even if you don't ski, going up to 3,200 m as a pedestrian is well worth it for the views of La Meije and the Écrins.
- Summer
- High-altitude / glacier skiing 2027: spring skiing announced from 3 to 30 May, then the glacier is reserved first for professional groups and clubs until 4 July (check public access and opening times on les2alpes.com; in 2026 the glacier was open from 8am to 12.30pm, morning skiing only).
- Winter
- 2026-2027 season: opens on 28 November 2026, full ski area until 2 May 2027, then high-altitude skiing until 30 May.
- Prices
- Winter 2026-27 (indicative ticket office prices): adult day pass €68, adult 6-day pass €333. For reference, winter 2025-26: adult day pass €66, junior €61.50, children aged 5-12 €53, senior €62. Summer 2026 glacier skiing: day pass €52 adult / €42-45 child, 6 days €278 (2027 prices to be announced).
- Duration
- A full day in winter; half a day (morning) for spring and summer glacier skiing. Allow around thirty minutes' drive from Le Bourg-d'Oisans (about 25 km).
No booking needed for the resort itself. Buy lift passes online at les2alpes.com (pre-sale is often cheaper) or at the lift ticket offices on site. Tourist office on +33 4 76 79 22 00 or via the “Nous écrire” form on the website.

For spring and summer skiing, go up as soon as the lifts open, as the snow softens quickly by late morning; bring sun cream, goggles and winter clothing, even in June. From Le Cosy Lodge, take the D1091, then the D213 after the Chambon dam (paid parking in the resort, free shuttles between the different areas).
